Hello everyone!
We have two exciting pieces of information: ReachGlobal approved us to attend pre-field training in Minneapolis, and our support has jumped to 50% of the goal!! Praise the LORD!
This past month has been blessed with a couple of church visits—ranging from Cokato, MN to Kirksville, MO—and lots of homework. We completed an online course leading up to pre-field training, and the assignments have already made an impact on our hearts and minds. One of the memorable terms learned was ‘missionary shock’…they taught us not to expect missionaries to be perfect. 🙂 How important it is for us to encourage one another, and to do so in grace and love!
As our journey continues, we are humbled to recognize what tremendous grace we receive every day. A while back, John told me he had “blundered badly” in making a support-raising phone call to a pastor—John even forgot to give his own name! But God had mercy and the Holy Spirit laid it on the pastor’s heart to dig deeper into our ministry and eventually invite us to share more with his congregation. What affirmation that God is the one doing the true work! And far beyond humorous little mistakes like that, He knows the dark, sinful areas of our hearts and still gives grace through the blood of Christ. What a forgiving Master, hallelujah!

Prayer Need: Please pray for wisdom and guidance regarding our specific role in Japan. Up to this point, our primary focus has been the northern tsunami disaster area of Japan. However, a ReachGlobal team in Tokyo is currently requesting assistance for a budding urban ministry. Pray our hearts will be soft and willing to go wherever He calls.
